The 2008 Pachyderm Reunion will be held in Savannah, Georgia on Sept. 4, 5, 6, 7. This is the 1st weekend in Sept. and just after Labor Day.

For those of you who have never attended a reunion before listed below is how a typical reunion functions and the check in procedure.

Thursday - After you have checked into the Hotel locate our reunion table. Normally it is in the lobby somewhere and is open between 2 and 6 PM.
At the table you can choose what activities you wish to participate in, the type of dinner you would like, and what raffle tickets you would like to purchase. The type of payment is always CASH. The costs for the items are approximately:

Registration Fee - $8.00
Bus Fee (if we take a bus on the Friday tour) - $13.00
Raffle Tickets - $10.00 Each or 3 for $25.00
Friday cookout  - $15.00
Golf - Depends on the club house where payment will be made to them.
Saturday Banquet Dinner - Normally 2 choices $20.00 to $26.00 depending on choice.
Sunday Goodbye Breakfast - $13.00
Pachyderm Hats are available for $5.00

You are free to choose any or none of the above. You may stay one night or all nights. We understand some may have financial difficulties and we do not wish to add to those. If you would like to participate and need financial assistance, please contact me. Any correspondence will be held in strict confidence. Our prices are only for our reunion and have no connection with the Hotel charges. We have however negotiated reduced prices for the rooms. We are of course also non-profit. All money collected after expenses go into the Pachyderm fund and used for mailing, raffle prizes etc.

Friday - We normally meet around 9 AM and leave for the scheduled tour. Sometimes we reserve a bus or sometimes we drive in our individual vehicles.
We are normally back at the Hotel by mid afternoon. Lunch is normally purchased individually somewhere during the tour. The evening cookout starts around 6 PM. Just prior to the cookout (or sometime Saturday before the banquet) we hold our business meeting. In this meeting we discuss the budget and next year's reunion etc. It normally lasts about 30 minutes.

Saturday - For those who golf it normally starts between 7-9 AM. There is a golf coordinator who collects money and sets up the event. You will be notified of the coordinator at check in. If you don't golf, you have a "free day" to do as you wish. The banquet typically starts at 6-7 PM. At the banquet, we honor our fallen and missing brothers, eat of course, pass out the raffle prizes and just socialize. There is NO dress code for this banquet or any event. Some dress up, some don't, it is your choice.

Sunday - Goodbye Breakfast. Normally about 50% participate in this. Timing is the issue because we eat between 6-9 AM and some folks have early flights.
